Vice mayor of Seodaemun District, Seoul Metropolitan Government
In Dong Cho has a B.A. in politics and master’s degree in public administration from Seoul National University. He also has another master’s degree in public administration in University of Georgia, USA. He has worked for the Seoul City for 26 years. He served as a director of Planning, a director of Organization, a director of Tourism, a director of Cultural Asset and a director of Evaluation. He also served as a director-general of Planning & Coordination in 2009~2010. He is the first director-general of Seoul Innovation (2012~2014). Currently he is working as the Vice mayor of Seodaemun district in Seoul. He built the foundation for creative municipal operation. He introduced MBO system in Seoul city administration in 1998 and established Public Service Quality Evaluation System in 2002. He has been leading a number of innovation projects such as Sharing City Seoul project, Community Formation project, Human Rights Promotion project, preventive and strategic Public Conflict Resolution project, etc He not only prepared the sharing city platform - Seoul Sharing Hub but also propelled various key innovative projects like Seoul Innovation Park building project and Transparent Apartment Community management project.
